Between Friends Club
Between Friends Club is a Calgary based charitable organization that creates opportunities for children and teens with differing disabilities to belong. They operate approximately 180 fun-filled, recreation and social programs where members can make friends, create memories and just be themselves.

Between Friends Club recreation for people with disabilities provides quality social and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities.
With programs for tykes, youth and adults, Between Friends Club creates a place for people with disabilities to develop skills and confidence by learning and supporting one another. Their qualified staff and exceptionally trained volunteers create a fun, accepting and safe environment.
Importantly, Between Friends Club subsidizes all of its programs and offers further subsidies to families who cannot afford to pay program fees, going a long way to remove one of the most difficult barriers to community participation.

Before we joined Between Friends Club, Kaleigh had no real friends and we found it difficult to find appropriate community programs for her to participate in. I was her entire social life and it placed a strain on me as a single, working parent. Between Friends Club changed my daughter’s life and my own. She is now an active, confident teenager, engaged in many different activities that are taught at a level and in a way that enhances her self-esteem. She has developed many friendships over the years and now with her participating in many activities, I am free to take classes that interest me. Thank you Between Friends Club for giving her the opportunity to develop important friendships and for giving me some freedom to develop my own interests which makes me a better parent overall.
